Travellin' on

Image
I look at the overcast skies, where the flock of geese in flight, seem to herald a sudden rain… Like my heart, that has been a little heavy over the last few days. I have wanted to release my own flood of tears and share my stirrings with someone near; but the busy pace of every-day life, keeps me from untying the knots within me! Somehow, the past seems to have left the taste of a day old coffee within me, and I sip it just a little to keep me attached to what was yesterday. I travel on to the ring of an inner bell, which reminds me of my daily grind… and quickly, I put on my plastic smile, that brings on the sunshine again.

tears in heaven

John 11:35. Jesus wept. Did You not weep, when strappled by a listless shroud, were the lying remnants, of what was once me! Yet, in Your compassion, and on the stage of Your awesome purposes, You deemed it fit, that I should live! There like an earthen seed, I gave up my old vessel, and life emerged, that was renewed...in hope, in strength. Then, why today, do I look, for the shredded shroud; to cover all, that I want You, not to see? Somewhere within, amidst this, I feel again, Your broken heart and the falling of tears....in heaven.

Why do you not cry?

Paraphrased from the Hindi poem "Dil akhir kyu rota hai" written by Javed Akhtar. Moistened eyes, hiding the tinge of sorrow and element of lonliness... Unformed words, unspoken feelings and fears. Like the silence of your perfume, the wind wafts along your heaving breath and your heavy heartbeats. Your restlessness is measured by the rustling of the leaves. Yet, I hear you chiding yourself again, reminding that pain and joy are but two facets of our lives; and regardless of the moistness of your eyes, you shed no tear!

A triple braided cord: Ecclesiates 4:9-12

May, the month we celebrate our wedding anniversary was a rather tumultous one. It had a more than fair share of ups and downs; but, its great to be in a marriage when God is constantly intervening...that helps us time and again to be quick to forgive, quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. At one time, this month had a flurry of posts, each a measure of the ups and downs, but in good sense, they have all been removed. With the removal of the lot, sadly, a wonderful poem called "I do" which reiterated our wedding vows, got accidently deleted. The song that follows this poem was with the earlier deleted poem...but I like it so much that I want to keep it here! Two? Nay, three. Bound together.. tightened..and knotted at every wind... of every day.. through thick and thin, through loss or win, through rain or shine, through ups and downs, through everything; because.. Promises made are kept! we are committed together, forever, always in Him... and... He is f...

Dead man walking

Image
Shaped by values and trends of the world; Led by the stealer, killer, destroyer, But most, in pursuit of my own pride and pleasure , I have walked but as a dead man walking. For Your death and rising up, Has killed the sentenced man, And now with a life redeemed I hope to walk like no man can. My walk today is shaped, by the Master’s workmanship; In unity and purpose, in wisdom, love and light, Now, conscious of the surrounding warfare, And like my choice in sides, let me walk with Your companionship With hope and joy and in stride. and a song to go with it too...I really liked this song!! Cheers Josh Groban and thanks!

Flight

This poem was written during one of the lowest periods in my career. While during my initial working years I was given the oppurtunity to fly high, the last few years on that job proved particularly difficult. At that time, I felt as if I was hurtling down from the skies and my wings were badly broken. It was during this crises that I realised what it is to hold God's hand and rely on Him for the future, no matter how difficult the present. As I reflect on those years, I am thankful to God for having not only restored me but given me stronger wings to soar higher! Give me wings and let me fly, Far and unfettered in the boundless sky; And up above from the crisp of blue, Give me sight to look below, To see the pattern the grand earth forms, Its rims and borders spread like flowing gowns. Beyond my sight, O Lord, I ask, Give me vision to see beyond The humdrum of my daily dues, The goals to pursue and the dreams to choose. But most, my God, I would from you take, Your jo...

Her Father's eyes

Image
Yes, its past valentine. Like the magi, I have sought an unsurpassed gift for you my love. Words fail... but this song reminds me of what I have always seen in you. You look beautiful... nay glorious so much more... because you have your Father's eyes. And this song, my love is all about you.

My home

Image
My heart, stuck by a pin on the mountainscape... my mind, drifts in search of your incessant fog..... my eyes, yearn for the rolling blue hills.. and my skin, waits for your frosty touch... my Queen, my Home, my Darjeeling!!
