Inner conflicts

A remedy for my inner conflicts; comes from my daily devotional with Oswald Chambers! As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me… — Genesis 24:27 We should be so one with God that we don’t need to ask continually for guidance. Sanctification means that we are made the children of God. A child’s life is normally obedient, until he chooses disobedience. But as soon as he chooses to disobey, an inherent inner conflict is produced. On the spiritual level, inner conflict is the warning of the Spirit of God. When He warns us in this way, we must stop at once and be renewed in the spirit of our mind to discern God’s will (see  Romans 12:2 ). If we are born again by the Spirit of God, our devotion to Him is hindered, or even stopped, by continually asking Him to guide us here and there. “…the Lord led me…” and on looking back we see the presence of an amazing design. Mountain beauty

Image
I lift my eyes up unto the mountains. Endearing as they are. They speak of the wonder of Him who created them. In their grandeur, In their beauty. My heart rejoices, as I consider, the Master Artist. Sweeping the strokes of His paintbrush, Along the meeting place of the heavens and the earth, Creating the beauty of rocks, in their jaggedness, covered by snow  in their completeness. Giving me another moment, of joy and delight!

The Way

For these times and places, For moments, Of solitude, Of joy, Of gratefulness, For opportunities, Just to be thankful, for family, friends, love. For the beauty of creation. For the assurance of heaven. For faith, To walk on, live on with. For promises, to hold on to. For this day, that I have been given, another day, another wonderful day, a day with hope, faith and love. For the way, The most excellent way, The everlasting way, The Way, the Truth and the Life. I am ever thankful!

The children then miss out on the very stepping stone towards a better and more resilient future. A need in Patna, India. Patna, the capital city of Bihar, India is a home to several thousands of such children. Rapid urbanization and influx of the poorest landless rural population is leading to proliferation of urban slums. Samir and his band of young friends have witnessed such children being sucked into the vortex of several vagaries of life; continuing poverty, malnutrition, addiction to alcohol and narcotics, early marriages of girls (often during teen ages), abuse and a general deprivation of childhood. An opportunity for children to go school and get quality education is the primary panacea to many social misfortunes.  ...
