Rain
I look out to a cloudy sky,
Its been awhile,
and I have been waiting,
for the old sunshine,
to come back to me.
The rain,
it reminds me
of the days I have spent,
wishing for the sun.
But today,
I want it to rain,
to let it wash away,
the pain,
the loneliness,
the waiting.
For I know,
there will come a time,
for the clouds to lift up,
and give way,
to the beams of
the Redeeming Sun!
