First Love.

When my First Love has loved me from Eternity.
When my First Love forgives me, no matter what.
When my First Love has shown His love by doing the impossible; living for me, dying for me; defeating death for me!
When my First Love is my Victor; my Strong Tower; my Strength.
When my First Love has not left me alone; by by His Spirit and His Word; abides in me; teaches me, corrects me, guides me, comforts me, encourages me in all good things.
When my First Love; encompasses me, behind and before.
When my Fist Love holds me in the palm of  His hands; gives me a new name.
When my First Love makes His splendour known in the beauty of His creation; the Wonder of His works.

These and 10000 reasons my heart finds to understand His great love for me.

I couldn't agree more with Matt as he sings this love song and folks closer home; Jennie, Ruben and Asmita join in the chorus.

My prayer, as I listen to these songs is "Lord! help me return to my First Love", "Let Not this Love get cold!"

Mumbai and Memories

I must have been all of ten, when we first came to Mumbai. It was called "Bombay" then, a scintillating city of dreams, with superstars of celluloid, walking the streets as mere humans. Our hosts recommended that we visit the popular hotel "Sun-n-Sand" where we would surely encounter some of these stars. I don't quite remember seeing any such stars at the hotel, but unknowingly some scenes etched into my memories: the famous Juhu beach on which the hotel stood, the sun setting on the the Arabian Ocean where we took our photos, and the tables by the swimming pool where we sipped our cool drinks and enjoyed our ice-creams. Today, as I walked into the hotel, after a good forty years or so, the scenes came flooding back. I ran towards the pool, but it was under repair. Then the beach, almost nothing had changed.
