A triple braided cord: Ecclesiates 4:9-12

May, the month we celebrate our wedding anniversary was a rather tumultous one. It had a more than fair share of ups and downs; but, its great to be in a marriage when God is constantly intervening...that helps us time and again to be quick to forgive, quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. At one time, this month had a flurry of posts, each a measure of the ups and downs, but in good sense, they have all been removed. With the removal of the lot, sadly, a wonderful poem called "I do" which reiterated our wedding vows, got accidently deleted. The song that follows this poem was with the earlier deleted poem...but I like it so much that I want to keep it here!

Two?
Nay, three.
Bound together..
tightened..and knotted
at every wind...
of every day..
through thick and thin,
through loss or win,
through rain or shine,
through ups and downs,
through everything;
because..
Promises made are kept!
we are committed
together,
forever,
always
in Him...
and...
He is faithful!
He keeps us...
bound,
tied,
knotted,
with each other,
and Himself...
together,
forever,
always.
Amen.

I have found the poem again and am happy to put it back where it belongs!
I am looking for the sunshine, amidst all the torrid rain:
The comfort of your shoulder to ease my searing pain.
I have known no other when my heart aches have been hard,
Only in your arms is my solace, when I have let off all my guard.
Who but you are my companion, the friend of all my days!
Through the changing of the seasons, and ups and downs of ways.
With your loving hands to hold me, and your fervent lips to pray,
I can still keep on going, come dark night or stormy day.
For a while I had been lonely, for some time I was afraid.
Your distance made me restless, and some mistakes I made.
Yet, your simple heart's forgiveness, and your trust in me has won.
A lifetime of togetherness, for us two to live as one.
We have promises together made and many yet to keep,
Some are heavy and difficult, some bring smiles and some make weep:
But our trust still in each other makes worthwhile our every step.
And at the journeys end we find, all promises have been kept.
